Title: Electric Lightwave Franchise Agreement Details: In 1997, via Ordinance No. 2129, the City of Camas entered into a franchise agreement with Electric Lightwave LLC (ELI), now a subsidiary of Zayo, which has since expired. ELI is now proposing to run fiber optic cable to various educational institutional sites within the City limits and new fiber between the City's proposed pump stations being constructed as part of the North Shore Sewer Transmission System project. Attached is a draft ordinance that would grant a new franchise agreement and provide the terms for which new fiber can be installed as well as conditions regarding the maintenance and operations of existing fiber lines within the public rights-of-way.
